SNAME to Hold 2016 Maritime Convention in November

For over 25 years, Daniel “Dan” Farber has served as president and chief executive officer of Bright Lights USA in Barrington, New Jersey. Throughout his career at Bright Lights, Dan Farber has maintained memberships in several organizations, including the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME).

In its efforts to advance the knowledge and skills of naval architecture and marine engineering professionals, SNAME oversees a variety of educational programs and activities. Registration is currently open for SNAME’s 2016 Maritime Convention, which will take place November 1-5 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington.

Students and professionals from around the world are expected to attend the event to take part in several days of educational sessions focused on shipbuilding, ship dynamics, alternative marine fuel, ferry safety, and a wide range of other topics. In addition to a variety of learning activities, the convention will feature a student and young professional job fair, several networking events, and an expo where attendees will have the opportunity to browse the latest products and services from dozens of companies.
